OUR INSTRUCTOR/TEACHER

Doug Galloway, owns and operates DG GUITAR STUDIO. Doug has been playing guitar since the age of 11 and has a strong passion for playing, discussing, and teaching guitar. Doug holds certificates from the "LONDON COLLEGE OF MUSIC" in music theory, as well, Doug has extensive experience in Blues ,Jazz ,Jazz Big Bands and Rock Bands.

Doug is a registered member of "THE REGISTRY OF GUITAR TUTORS".

BCIT Graduate "DIPLOMA OF TECHNOLOGY, MARKETING MANAGEMENT".

SULLIVAN STATION BLUES AND CLASSIC ROCK BAND

Doug is the founder and leader of the "SULLIVAN STATION BLUES AND CLASSIC ROCK BAND". This band serves two purposes, first and foremost it is a cool band that play's Blues and Classic Rock throughout Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Doug is the vocalist and play's harmonica and lead/rhythm guitar in the band. Secondly this band is a jamming machine!!! They are constantly playing Classic Rock/Blues/Jazz and Country music. DG GUITAR STUDIO'S students (Senior experienced students) can aspire to jamming with the band in a positive environment with nice musicians that are willing to work with them while they learn the ropes.

 BLUES/JAZZ JAMS/BIG BANDS

Doug is a regular jammer at the Yale Hotel Vancouver BC, Blues Jam and has been for some time. As well Doug has extensive experience playing Jazz/Swing guitar jamming to the II/V/I/VI, and playing in a SWING ORCHESTRA for many years. Doug also had the pleasure of playing in several Vancouver Big Bands, this was great experience learning to read charts and play along with some very cool, accomplished horn players.
