GUITAR LESSONS

As indicated on our home page we emphasize jamming and playing your guitar with other musicians. Each of our guitar lessons is opened with a jam, drum machine and bass/rhythm guitar are included in this jam, the student is given an opportunity to play lead and rhythm guitar as well as working on patterns/riffs learned in past lessons. During these jams additional teaching and coaching is provided. Once we have finished jamming the main lesson is taught, typically we spend half that time on music theory and the other half on fun and interesting pieces of music for the guitar.

THE ROADHOUSE RECORDING STUDIO

One of the services that we provide is the "Roadhouse Recording Studio". This is very popular with many of our student and parents. Once a student is capable of playing a few songs or has written a song we can record it and provide the student/parent with a CD of their music. We also customize the CD cover and give it a professional look. Year on year as the student improves the quality of the playing and music get's better and better. Folk's really enjoy having a record of their playing, and accomplishments.

GUITAR INTONATION AND SET UP/STRING CHANGING SERVICE

Something doesn't seem quite right with your guitar. It is constantly needing tuning or it just doesn't feel right. Or you don't have time to change the strings and maintain it. Bring it in and we will make the appropriate adjustments and set the guitar to your liking.

CONSULTING SERVICES

You just bought that expensive recording unit and now face the arduous task of learning how to use it. At DG GUITAR STUDIO we have extensive experience with recording units and how they operate. We recommend and use the BR series BOSS/ROLAND recording units. In a few hours we can show you how to get started recording your favorite musician or band. There is a lot to know in this area, nothing like shortening the learning curve and having a knowledgeable resource just a call or e-mail away.
